Houlton Building Consultants was formed in 2025 by Director Ed Houlton. Based in Louth, Lincolnshire, we provide a range of specialist surveys and design services.

With over 14 years’ experience in building consultancy, Ed has completed surveys of a variety of buildings and overseen projects across commercial, residential, and public sectors.
Starting out at a local building contractors while studying part time for his Masters in Building Surveying, Ed developed the foundations of his surveying techniques and construction technology knowledge. Following graduation, Ed moved to a regional consulting engineering practice which forms a strong basis of the services Houlton Building Consultants offer. Here he widened his skills, knowledge and experience on the way to qualifying as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2017 as a member of the RICS and leaving the company as a Senior Building Surveyor.
Ed started Houlton Building Consultants in September 2025 to provide valued and informative reports and design services to a range of clients within Lincolnshire and beyond.
